Look at the following pictures. These are the pictures of the publications of Jehovah Witnesses(JW), or WatchTower Bible Tract Society(WBTS), that i possessed currently. Well, these are given by ppl from JW when i got to know them. These publications are known to be the "equipment" used in their bible studies with non-believers and the cuurent JW members. When i first received these, i have no idea why they gave me these. They claimed it to be a 'welcome' gift for me. They told me to use these publication diligently as they are teaching the "truth"... Is that so? At the first place i just accept these publication lor and try to read through them when i'm free. I discovered that what is taught inside the book(Bible Teach book) is significantly different from what is taught from other churches,eg. they call the Lord's name Jehovah(Jah),they dun belive in Trinity, dun believe that Jesus Christ died on the cross, they nvr celebrate "worldly" celebration such as Christmas Day,Easter,Halloween, etc. except one important day that is observance of Lord's Evening meal ceremony, and many others...

New World Translation(NWT) of the Holy Scripture, gift from uncle Roy and Dinesh

Bible-God's Word or man's?

Bible Teach Book

Initially when i first met raymond, he gave me a publication, in the form of a magazine called
" What does God requires of us?" (not shown above) he actually shares with me that there is kingdom of God,which is the heavenly government set up by Jehovah God, and Jeus did not actually died on a cross, but on a torture stake(Acts 5:30 NWT version)..on hearing what he says, i am becoming more curious abt God's word, which draws me to have bible study with JW ppl...My bible study with raymond was quite regular,we meet at least once a week to meet up for study either at my house's void-deck or somewhere at my school campus,SP. the bible study was such that we use the magazine he gave me as a "bible study tool", together with a bible, this bible study is in the form of Question and Answer format, where the answers to the question asked are found in the proceding paragraphs, and the paragraph number are indicated in brackets beside the corresponding qn asked. So we take turn to read paragraph by paragraph. As raymond is the conductor, he will ask the question correspond to the paragraph that had been read and i will try to find the answer in the paragraph. i think this is oso being done in this organisation during their meetings bah... i have read that this kind of bible study is JW society's way to train the learner to think like them..so scary~~~

JW believe tt whatever they teach the learner can always refer to the bible to confirm that they are teaching the truth or follows the bible. Of course they will say that la! this kind of things cannot bluff one lor, whatever they teach must be backed up by the Bible,or else the non-believers will think that they are teaching on a groundless basis, rite? But i think that JW are the ones who know how to play with words. By quoting or citing so many bible verses they are trying to convince the outsiders that they are teaching the God's Word, not theirs! pls la,everyone knows that lor!...

The Bible teach book(shown above) is actually given by my"buddy"(buddy before i truly realised JW is a cult),Dinesh. Raymond hands me over to him when he had left for australia liao..to my surprise,Dinesh is a very knowledgeable and very nice bible study conductor, although he may appear fierce at first.. my bible knowledge had became clearer when dinesh starts to take over raymond. the bible teach book is the 1st book that Dinesh gave me. i find that this book is more detailed than the magazine tat raymond gave me. Watever raymond has taught me b4, Dinesh has explained to me very clearly with a lot of interesting analogy and explanation...from then onwards, my study with din has been very exciting...Then Roy joined us, and i began to enjoy their company even more that i can't wait for the coming Thursday(cuz we always meet on every thursday for bible discussion, thursday was very convenient for dinesh and flexible for roy) to come and sit down and enjoy hearing the Word of God!

As my bible study progressed, i got to know them better. why i called them uncle because both of them are much older than me, Dinesh ,39 years old,and Roy,32 years old. i knew that both Dinesh and raymond are married and of the same age(they were classmates then),but Roy is still single..He actually tells me he din have a girlfrend is bcoz of the bible study and his commitment to this "church", but he looks very handsome leh although he nw old liao,so must haf attracted some very nice girls ma...from what i noe, members of JW have to attend meetings at least 5 times a week, most of them are bible discussion, with just like the Q& A session with Din and Roy, somemore they had Sunday public talks lor..In other countries, they had kingdom hall, but in s'pore they held it in homes..these meetings cannot pon one lor(means skip attending meetings) or else they'll start to call on u liao to noe what happened to u...no wonder Roy has no time for dating girls la! bt i wonder why Dinesh and Roy still ask me out to play tennis with other JW brothers, yet there were many occasions when i am unable to play with them(isit God's plan that i shouldn't mix with JW ppl?) Too bad....

anyway during these period i am glad to have both of them as my friends as well as "entertainers"... why? cuz they know how to share the jokes of bible principles! Their teachings were simply anti-Christian teachings, since they day they teach me that jesus died on a torture stake, not on a cross(to them in hebrew it means stauros which means a stake) and the cross should not be used in worship as it is a symbol of curse. although both of were very nice to me that i felt indebted to their kindness and not bear to reject what thay had been teaching me, bt based on the fact that WBTS is indeed a cult, so i think i shall end this "bible study" as it would be very pointless to continue learning from them since their doctrines are questionable.....I'm so sorry,friend.........

Bad day...

haizzzz.....today was not my day! yes, today i am having ap chem practical and i manage to complete the experiment in time as today's experiment was the easiest to do and this is our last
practical session...but the real unhappiness is that i din manage to complete my cppa (chemical process principle A) test paper today...u noe hor, the test paper is too difficult liao...i got done so many revision exercises and past year exam papers yet the test came out questions that are unexpected, just can't do the paper lor...

Furthermore i dun even have enough time to finish lor...so difficult sia, well, let's pray that i can at least pass this test, but luckily the weightage for the class test component is very low(only 15% of the total assessment)..i hope that the coming exam for this module(cppa) will be easier than this test, bt i think u will say i am naive rite? where got exam easier than test one? i dun want to be like last time when the cppb(chemical process principles B) exam paper is very difficult and i din manage to finish lor...sigh...

aniwae,be optimistic, i muz be confident that i will do better in the coming exam for cppa(which is my very 1st paper) as this is 50% fo the total assessment, which is a lot lor, so this time must chiong all my 3 modules(ap chem, material in practice and cppa) as well as "expect the unexpected one", and good luck to me~~~

Happy New Year! 新年快乐!

Today is the third day of Chinese New year( CNY),which is oso the 3rd day of the first Lunar month. I'm back to blogging again as today quite tired of going to bai nian(means paying a visit to elders' home).... let me share with u about my visit to my mum's friend on the 1st day of Chinese New year....

As like usual my siblings and I followed my mum to her long-time friend's home to bai nian... She's staying in Kallang area,so we take bus no. 197 to there. When we reached there, my brother gave a pair of madarin oranges to my mum's friend and wish her xin nian kuai(Chinese words for 'happy new year'). in Hokkien we called the mandarin oranges 'gam',this means da ji da li, in english it means mandarin oranges represents auspicious, so exchanging a pair of 'gam' with the other party will bring each other good luck.

Enough about the CNY customs....so as usual we would wish all the elders there happy new year. Then we would be invited to sit down at the dinner table and have steamboat dinner...

this is some of the seafood we eat for steamboat. they have squids, fish meat, bird eggs....

The soupbase looks spicy,isn't it?

Wow! Did u see a bowl of curry chicken and a plate of roasted duck
in front of my brother(wearing dark blue shirt with a skull)'s seat? Must be delicious, man!

Oh ya, i am still on medication and my face haven healed yet!

U see my face...So red rite? at least it is much better than my face in 3 weeks ago, the acne on my face like very, very swollen and dark until no choice but to see doctor liao... luckily that very nice doctor gave that same antibiotic and the acne-clear cream that i have taken b4 , i take it diligently and washed my face daily, praying that my face will look normal on CNY... but i very glutton one lor...i actually indulge in having a seafood dinner @Fish and Co. restaurant with my ex-colleagues 10 days ago as i think that now CNY period ma, eat a little bit its ok one, but in the end i ate this much...

If i had reject my ex-colleagues' invitation, my face would have been healed completely liao...

Well, i have learnt a precious lesson: One should heed the elder's advice or else u will be in trouble..haha(for those who are chinese, isn't this sound cliched to u?)

Anyway, although this yr i can't celebrate my CNY in my former wkplace anymore as i still enjoy the happy times we had last yr, i still feel happy to be able to celebrate CNY with my family....Shall blog until here, so i wish u all 新年快乐!

yoz...i'm back to blogging...i had a great weekend indeed... My friend, mohaimin, invited me along with his ex-secondary sch(Henderson Sec sch, which is yvonne's sec sch) friends, to go to Pulau Ubin for cycling....At first i was quite excited as i din cycle for very long time liao(ard 8 months liao)...now my fren ask me to come along,of course i feel excited lor..So what happened was after i attended the CHC(city Harvest Church) 10am service @singapore expo hall 8 on sunday morning, i set off to meet my friend who is in pulau ubin already.

i thought the whole journey from expo to pulau ubin was quite short(cuz i tot P.ubin was not very far from expo)...it takes ard 40 minutes altogether(from taking train @expo MRT station to tanah merah station(5min),then take bus no. 2 to changi village bus terminal(25min), then finally take bumboat from changi point jetty to p.ubin jetty)..do u know tat taking the bumboat to p.ubin cost $2 for just one trip!!! i tot it would be very cheap leh(last time i think it costs only $1)....

anyway, forget it...so when i reach there i feel quite great. Pulau ubin was indeed a very peaceful place. However, as i used to living in a comfortable city,so if u ask me to stay overnite there i wld definitely say NO!!! Compared to singapore island, i can say that the ppl there is very friendly...i remember when i want to rent a bicycle in one rental shop, there is one auntie who come to my svc, and offers to recommend a good bicycle for me. She even let me try the bike. In east coast park(Singapore island), no such thing happened and u have to choose your own bike...so this auntie was very nice lor,she says i can rent the bike for whole day until 6pm for just $6, and if i can't return the bike in time she won't charge me additional fee,as she can understand p.ubin the island quite big...So different from Singapore rite?

Actually this is my first time cycling in an unfamiliar place,so when i try the bike i felt quite uncomfortable as the road there was very crowdy.. somemore u have to cycle carefully as u may not know when a vehicle is coming towards u..Well, i am surprised when i see quite a no. of wild dogs roaming in the street as i cycle. Actually i am quite afraid of dogs,so when i cycle i must not disturb them in anyway or else they may chase me(who will outrun who, u think?). Anyway, the year 2006 is the year of Dog, so i should consider myself "lucky" to have encountered so many wild dogs in p.ubin..haha...

Finally i met up with mohaimin and his sec sch frenz. So we cycle ard this small island for ard one and the half hours. I got to know his frens better as we cycle together. all his friends are good cyclers, i felt very inferior, but the time when we had to cycle up the slope, i got big problem, so one of his friends was very kind to wait for me when i was trying to push my bike, before we continue... then when i cycle to the place where the slope there was very steep, i have the tendency to slow down and makes my cycling difficult as the gear seems to be faulty...

i try to push my bike but suddenly i felt dizzy so i push my bike slowly to the nearest hut to rest for a while...after a while i felt better so i continue to cycle, then i met mohaimin and his fren..they all ask me wat happened to me?but i din actaully tell them the truth as i wld feel very embarrassed if i tell them(as u noe, all of them are guys, i dun want them to think that i very weak,i bought 2 bottle sof mineral water leh)...

Around 3.30pm, we cycle to a place where there is a Thai buddhist temple. One of the guys jokingly says dun ever make wishes at tt thai temple cos if ur wishes came true, u have to come back again and gave thanks,or else u will have bad luck forever...then as we want to continue, one particular guy's bike 'pun check'(bike got flat tyre). So one of the guys,a Chinese guy, i think, suggests asking the ppl from that temple for help, so we wait for him lor... As we wait, oh my God! I was actually got stung by the irritating mosquito there and got a lot of blood oozing out of my fleshy arm, eeee! sucks, man! that's one thing i dun like abt p.ubin...but other things ok lor...

Finally, we got no choice but to make a U-turn and cycle back to the jetty as this is the only short-cut or else we have to cycle a big round at Outward Bound school before we reach the jetty...Too bad that day was rainy, when we cycle back, the rain starts to rain heavily, so we had to cycle even faster. One thing is that we can enjoy the ride when the bicycle is going down the slope, previously we had to push our bikes up the slope....Shiok!

At 4pm we reached the jetty. We returned our bikes to the rental shop and and we go to the jetty and wait for the bumboat to come and fetch us back to Changi point ferry terminal... i regretted that i din cycle the whole island (i was only there for abt 2 and the half hours) and i din take some pictures of the things i saw such as the wild dogs and some places we went( the thai temple, the huts, etc). Anyway P.Ubin is a very beautiful place,so u may want to visit this small island when u are free...

I shall blog until here...Have a pleasing and fulfillling Chinese New Year! God Bless...

I was deceived.....

Recently, I was surfing the internet. As i was very bored so i decide to check up on the information on Jehoveh Witnesses,JW. So i was led to this website:
http://www.cftf.com/miller/index.html. This website is about how a ex-JW victims was
deceived by JW society for so many years.

Do u know why i check up on JW? I have done some reflection on myself recently, thinking why am i accepting teachings from JW? isit just because Dinesh(Bible study conductor) was very nice to me,so i have to repay him by continue to study with him? Why my previous careleader say i have backslided for so long? When did i change dramatically? So i pray to heavenly Father for guidance and strength to keep me going...

Fortunately heavenly Father must have heard my prayer and answered my prayer... Recently i gain the strength from holy spirit and decides to do a research on JW syndicate. As stated in the Bible,Matt 7:7-8 "Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened"
So after some intensive research, God have let me find the truth abt JW. Previously, my careleader have warned me tat JW is a cult but i jarred my ear on them and yet i din bother to do research on JW. I simply accept teachings from JW w/o any doubts...thinking back, am i really a fool to do tat? I began to feel bad and repentant abt my past association with JW ppl, but now i really understand the meanings behind the verse(Matt 7:7-8). Serving god is indeed not easy as u think, bt if u r diligent and determined to find out the truth, u wouldn mind spending ur precious time doing this. So i was led to the above website and
diligently read the entire online book in this website. I tell u, this is a true story, so there must be some honesty in this narration...

This ex-JW was used to be in military line, however, after he and his wife got to know the ppl from WatchTower Society(JW syndicate) and began so-called bible study with them he had to quit his job. the man decides to leave watchtower society and do an intensive investigation on this syndicate. JW was indeed a cult..! Since the day i got to know raymond i know something was wrong bt i din bother...What he teach abt the worldly celebrations are not allowed, Jesus did not die on a cross bt on a torture stake, and their disbelief in trinity was all rubbish!!!

Back to what i want to say, after i read that man's true story, i really, really felt cheated, at the same time,ashamed.... i begin to have a second opinion abt JW...Although Dinesh have assured me tat he won't pressurise me to join his church, but if i continue to study with him,i think it would be very meaningless for they have lost my trust in them... i decide to resume back to my life before i got know ppl from jw..I even got reunited with a cell group whom i din keep in touch with for a long time, i believe my life will be much better than now...This is God's love for me,He dum want me to be kept away from the truth...to think JW says they are the most righteous ppl on the earth when they themselves are wolves in sheep's clothings!!! haha...is it funny???

I would know that God hasn't forsaken me although i am a backslider...i can really feel God's love for me. Thank u,my dear heavenly Father! As of today onwards, I will discontinue my bible study with Dinesh and Roy.... i think i would felt much relieved bt at the same time feel bad as dinesh have treated me as a good friend, the problem is how am i am going to break this critical decision to Dinesh?

Dear viewers, u may want to access the above website i have highlighted in purple. if any one of u are ex-JW victims, feel free to share ur experiences with JW society. Thanks =)

Shine like Stars!!!

Shine Like Stars
Sidney Mohede

Look at the world we live today
Look at the hurting everywhere
Let us see mercy and Your grace
Overflowed in every place

Let us be one with You today
And let Your glory fall

Teach us to live in righteousness
Teach us to love in one accord
Guide us to live life everyday
As we worship in Your court

Let us declare Your majesty
And let Your glory fall

Chorus:
We will shine
Shine like stars above
Shining in Your light
Guided by Your love

Let Your fire burn in us
Burning like the sun
As we glorify
And show Your kingdom come
In all the earth

Bridge:
We will shine like stars above
As we're burning like the sun
