As like usual my siblings and I followed my mum to her long-time friend's home to bai nian... She's staying in Kallang area,so we take bus no. 197 to there. When we reached there, my brother gave a pair of madarin oranges to my mum's friend and wish her xin nian kuai(Chinese words for 'happy new year'). in Hokkien we called the mandarin oranges 'gam',this means da ji da li, in english it means mandarin oranges represents auspicious, so exchanging a pair of 'gam' with the other party will bring each other good luck.
Enough about the CNY customs....so as usual we would wish all the elders there happy new year. Then we would be invited to sit down at the dinner table and have steamboat dinner...

this is some of the seafood we eat for steamboat. they have squids, fish meat, bird eggs....

The soupbase looks spicy,isn't it?

Wow! Did u see a bowl of curry chicken and a plate of roasted duck
in front of my brother(wearing dark blue shirt with a skull)'s seat? Must be delicious, man!
Oh ya, i am still on medication and my face haven healed yet!

U see my face...So red rite? at least it is much better than my face in 3 weeks ago, the acne on my face like very, very swollen and dark until no choice but to see doctor liao... luckily that very nice doctor gave that same antibiotic and the acne-clear cream that i have taken b4 , i take it diligently and washed my face daily, praying that my face will look normal on CNY... but i very glutton one lor...i actually indulge in having a seafood dinner @Fish and Co. restaurant with my ex-colleagues 10 days ago as i think that now CNY period ma, eat a little bit its ok one, but in the end i ate this much...
If i had reject my ex-colleagues' invitation, my face would have been healed completely liao...
Well, i have learnt a precious lesson: One should heed the elder's advice or else u will be in trouble..haha(for those who are chinese, isn't this sound cliched to u?)
Anyway, although this yr i can't celebrate my CNY in my former wkplace anymore as i still enjoy the happy times we had last yr, i still feel happy to be able to celebrate CNY with my family....Shall blog until here, so i wish u all 新年快乐!
